Who am I?
I am a Linguistics undergrad with primary interests in Philosophical Logic, Epistemology, and Philosophies of Mind and Language. However, Linguistics has caught my fancy, for now.
I am a geek. I have peculiar, abnormal hobbies, and pursue them without a second thought as to their social reputation. Geeks are often defined by the inherently unsocial nature of their specialized interests, but I disagree. I perform best when surrounded by other geeks. I am a math geek, a science geek, a philosophy geek, a language geek, a roleplaying geek, but above all, a logic geek.
I like to break things up into tiny parts, see what each of the tiny parts means, and make sure the statement makes sense when removed from its social contraptions and assumptions.
This site is for all of those. I catalog my campaigns(password protected and only for their members), as well as my thoughts on language, philosophy, science, and math, as seen through the scope of logic. Nobody can know everything, and that is why I write here, instead of somewhere unaccessible. Because no one person can see everything, and other viewpoints might see the mistake that another has missed for so long. Most importantly, I want to dissect the opinions of myself, and others, and see where they lead, and, with the help of other geeks, make sure I haven’t missed everything, so that I can formulate my own opinions, separate from the influences of my culture or biology.
